One More Day, Part 3
The little girl who claims she can help him save Aunt May, leads Peter Parker down an alley. She says she’s smart like her father, and beautiful like her mother, and is worried she might never grow up, accusing Peter of being selfish, only interested in his own pain.
She abandons him, and Peter next meets a computer programmer lost in the fantasy worlds he’s created, and a multi-billionaire who is now the boss of everyone who made fun of him in high school, and has everything, except for the woman he loved.
Peter finds himself in front of a Lady in Red, who tells him these two – the computer programmer and multi-billionaire - were him from alternate universes – where he didn’t get bitten by the radioactive spider, and either directed his rage against his classmates inward, or outward. She refuses to explain who the little girl was.
The woman turns into Mephisto, and presents his bargain to both Peter and Mary Jane – They have One More Day. At the end of the day, a choice has to be made. Either Aunt May dies, or their marriage will be dissolved, completely. Neither will know that they were ever married. Neither will know the love that they have shared - except a small part of each of their souls will feel the pain of the loss.

The issue also contains a reprint of the first appearance of Mephisto - Silver Surfer #3 (Dec 1968)
Complete crap, what a sell out, Joe Q has ruined Spider man. Let may Die, she is ancient, had a good life.
This is a four dollar comic book and only half of it is remotely about Spider-man, if that.
Joe Q is drunk on himself, while his artwork is entirely inconsistent and relies heavily on digital programs to provide all of his backgrounds, incidental elements (cars, etc.), and perspective. Every person looks like it could have been drawn by a different artist - and most appear to be traced photos. The ones that aren't look like his old square headed giant eyed caricatures (which at least defined his style and were consistent).
Chad may well be right - this storyline may well be the end of Spider-Man for its fans.
A full HALF of this issue is a Marvel Encyclopedia entry for Mephisto (because you want 7 pages of small type information on his history, right? In a Spider-Man comic?) and a Silver Surfer story from 40 YEARS ago(entirely unrelated to Spider-Man, incidentally).
Spider-Man has jumped the shark in a big way. Boo Hiss.
I loved Spidey (ASM mainly tho) since getting my first issue in the earlier seventies.
Joe Q has no idea the damage his is doing, it is truly a sad day.
